About Me

My initial interest in nutrition started in part as a result of my father passing away from a heart attack at age 44 years old. I have also been an athlete for most of my life so those two reasons led me on a path to figuring out optimal foods for me. Fast forward to a lifetime of study of nutrition both at the university level and most importantly in my opinion from some brilliant practitioners, I have figured out an optimal life for me and can assist you to ID the foods and lifestyle for you to thrive.

I retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army in Sept 16 where I had a proven track record of utilizing my leadership skills to assess situations quickly and motivate those that I work with to accomplish our goals and objectives. 

I understand that each person has their own unique set of challenges and because of this I am able to help people achieve their health goals. I have been helping people all over the country to uncover the root cause of their health struggle by showing them how to eat correctly, test for things like hormonal disfunction, leaky gut and more. I love helping people feel better and achieve their goals of weight loss, improved energy levels and optimum health and athletic performance.

I live in Santa Cruz, CA and I have three children (23, 20 and 18). In addition to spending a lot of time on exercise activities, I also regularly practice yoga and internal martial arts and try to be in nature as much as possible.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Programs

Are you sick and tired of being overweight, lacking energy, and depressed? Do you want to lose those final few pounds? Do you want to improve  athletic performance? Or do you want to get your old self back and lead a healthy and productive life?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, I have a diet and lifestyle plan for you. As a life-long learner and seeker of knowledge about nutrition and health, I have a found a process. Food is foundational to the program, but I also have other tools to dig deeper in case food alone is not completely effective to assist you in achieving optimum health. 

It starts with taking an online test, followed by an initial 8 week program wherein we meet once a week in person, by phone, or skype session to attain your those goals.

I am excited to offer private or group sessions Using Master Sam Tam's internal martial arts teachings of tai chi, yiquan, qigong and standing meditation. My teaching style is I use martial art application in teaching, with the belief that if you can understand the basics of the application of martial arts you will also learn to live by these fundamentals which leads to optimal health.

This test is a start to understand the foods for you to EAT to live optimally.....and also what foods that help or to restrict for 49 health conditions. All in one online test!

At a minimum I recommend taking this test as it will start you in identifying optimal foods for you. The results generate a food list and from there you eat only the optimal foods identified for you. In the end it is you who is the real test though. You eat a meal or snack and then ask yourself how you feel 1-2 hours after the test. Your response to foods will be an indicator on your next step, and we provide recommendations on how to adjust your intake. You then start to fine tune or dial in your diet and learn how to balance your macronutrient (protein, fats and carbs) intake. This will help you feel better, lose body fat, increase energy and live a happier, more productive life. Life gets better when you eat foods right for you.

•After payment you will be redirected back to the Merchant site(DTS dashboard)
