Hello, I am Charlie Jenks, a nutritionist, internal martial artist, outdoor enthusiast and yogi. I have been studying and learning about nutrition most of my adult life, and after making many mistakes, I found a diet test and process that works for great for me, and will work for you. This process is called Diet Typing Systems and it is all based on our individuality and also factors in any health conditions you may have to generate a base diet or food plan for you to live optimally.  

 

Here are the basic steps to success:

 

1) Eat the right foods, and stop the wrong ones for you.

2) Fine tune the macronutrient ratios(Carbs/Protein/Fats)

3) start supplements

4) and finally reduce blocking factors and toxic load little by little, and integrate program enhancers little by little. 

My base program is an 8 week one where we work together weekly to progress in the four steps above. In the end, your body is the ultimate test as to what type and how much of each food you should eat.

You can purchase this test for only $39.99, enter the pass code you receive and then upon completion of the test you will be able to download a personalized color coded food list along with supporting documents to help guide you on the steps to optimum health.

**There is also an option to work with me to help you understand our proven process to get you to your goals. There is an additional cost for this option.

  • Below is an example of the food list we provide you(minus most of the foods here as we are all different!) and we identify for you "where you burn" on the scale to give you an idea of some of the information will receive after taking the test. This will be the first step to identify the right foods for you, the next step will be to dial in those for to the exact macronutrient ratios to thrive, followed by lifestyle improvements you will learn with the process. This process is all about bringing you back in balance.

ABOUT ME

My initial interest in nutrition started at a very young after my father passed away from a heart attack at age 44 years old, i was also an athlete so those two reasons combined led me on a path to figuring out optimal foods for me.  As I wrote above, I made many mistakes on this path, listening to many charismatic, well intentioned people, but in the end the diets were wrong for me. 

 

Fast forward to a lifetime of study of nutrition both at the university level and most importantly in my opinion from some brilliant practitioners, I am ready to help you ID the foods and lifestyle for you to thrive.

 

I retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army in Sept 16 where I had a proven track record of utilizing my leadership skills to assess situations quickly and motivate those that I work with to accomplish our goals and objectives. I choose health and this path to first live a optimal life for me, but also to help others figure out what is right for them. 

 

I understand that each person has their own unique set of challenges and because of this I am able to help people achieve their health goals. I have been helping people all over the country to uncover the root cause of their health struggle by showing them how to eat correctly, test for things like hormonal disfunction, leaky gut and more. I love helping people feel better and achieve their goals of weight loss, improved energy levels and optimum health and athletic performance.

I live in Santa Cruz, CA and I have three children (20, 17 and 16). In addition to spending a lot of time on exercise activities, I also regularly practice yoga and internal martial arts and try to be in nature as much as possible.

The two guys below are me, the one on the left I do not recognize anymore, but will always keep that picture as I do not want to see him again.  You know he was just living life and thought that he was kind of normal, he lets the stresses of life, combat, bad food and alcohol push him to become that person. I recognize many people out there do the same everyday, living life kind of numb, and I would love to help you take your life back. I am so glad I woke up and started following the same lifestyle I work with clients today on. It is all about understanding the right foods and in the right proportions, as well as living a healthy lifestyle for you.

My Office is located in Santa Cruz about 12 minutes away from the  Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and only 17 minutes away from the Santa Cruz Wharf.

If you are visiting from the Boardwalk area take the Beach St and 3rd St to San Lorenzo Blvd for about 3 min (0.6 mi).  Then take Murray St and Brommer St to Heath Cove in Twin Lakes for about 8 min (2.6 mi) and finally turn right onto Heath Cove and we're right there.
